Huay Tung Tao is Chiang Mai's nearest equivalent to a beach resort. Crowded at weekends, Huay Tung Tao is a huge man made lake with a mountain backdrop where you can swim, fish or just sit in one of the many bamboo huts at the waters edge and admire the view. Lots of small restaurants to keep you supplied with food & drink.
