Da Antonio is located in a beautiful small house, quietly and almost romantically just off the main road Changklan road. Da Antonio offers great Italian food, delicate and delicious, it's really one of Chiang Mai's top Italian restaurants.
Named after his son, this is the second branch of legendary Giorgio who has an older restaurant just off the Nightbazar.
Frankly speaking, I think Da Antonio offers better food than the original branch Giorgio. Perhaps the staff are better trained here.
The pastas are al dente, not salty, no Maggi, all ingredients are put in proportionally so that the overall taste is delicate and delicious.
The menu is very big, and has some surprising variations.
The atmosphere is lovely and you can see a lot of people are simply quietly enjoying their food.
On the downside, it's not cheap for Chiang Mai standards. A dinner for two easily lands you around a 1000 baht, but you get value for it. What I don't like is that they charge 10% service charge, but that happens sometimes.
Overall, a must-try for Italian food lovers with sufficient budget.
